FILM VS VIDEO EDITING

I'd like to discuss film editing vs video editing.. generally it is seen that students of cinema or video production likely to get confused when asked this question to them...

Film format has 24 fps whereas video format has 25 fps..

film editing involves the rigorous process of developing the film and then printing it to a new roll and then cutting the film physically.. whereas video editing has two branches.. Linear Editing and Non-Linear Editing.. Non-Linear editing is much more easier if compared to the Linear, as we can pick and choose the shot randomly and even after making the final timeline we can make all the necessary arrangements quickly and expeditiously..

in my other blog I'll discuss Non-Linear and Linear Editing in detail..

cheers...
